Siden & Associates, P.C. wins judgment award of $464,644.48 for clients in LLC sale dispute.
Clients (sellers) sold a majority interest of a shipping LLC. The buyer of the LLC interest then took over operations of the business and transferred approximately $250,000 of company assets out of the business without the sellers’ consent. The buyer later ceased operations of the business, opened up a new business in a foreign country, and represented to the sellers that the purchased business “failed”. Siden & Associates, P.C. sued the buyer claiming breach of contract, breach of the covenant of good faith and fair dealing, and violations of G.L. c. 93A. The parties conducted a jury-waived trial in Plymouth Superior Court and the Court issued a Decision and Order granting Siden & Associates, P.C.’s clients an overwhelming victory. Client’s award consisted of contract and Chapter 93A damages and legal fees.
